Colorful painted reversible canvas kimono. The exterior is made of acrylic paint and 15oz duck canvas. While the inside is a similar color palette to the exterior. With repeating scenes on a rural farm. Including farm animals, a garden, green pastures and a red barn. This kimono was an experiment to create clothing using the heaviest un-gessoed canvas I could find. With the intent to use all of my unused acrylic paint. I had found the fabric for the inside in Los Angeles. So the colors I used for the canvas were dictated by the colors of the interior fabric. This kimono is like wearing armor. You could stand this straight up on the ground with no support. It is that rigid. The kimono is still reversible but it is a bit more difficult to turn inside out.
